Would you like to be able to make your own clothes but don't have a clue where to start? Well let me introduce you to Heidi a very dear friend of mine who has over 30 years experience in the sewing industry and has her own alterations boutique making and altering wedding dresses, prom dresses, everyday clothes in fact anything and everything has been made or altered in the boutique! I have been lucky enough to persuade Heidi to come to Wigglywoo's and run our intro to dressmaking workshop. Heidi is going to share her expertise with you on this workshop from choosing a pattern and taking the first measurements through to the finished garment. The workshop lasts over a course of four weeks and each week has been structured to cover every aspect required to make a garment. You will be given our special intro to dress making pack full of useful information to take away with you and each week a key area of dress making will be demonstrated by Heidi. You will need to bring your own machine with you, however we do have a spare for you to use if you dont yet own your own machine. You will need to get your pattern and required fabric prior the the start of the workshop. We will be holding a drop in session prior to the start of the workshop to help and advise on fabrics and patterns if required. The workshop is from 7pm til 10pm each week, you will be required to do some work at home to enable you to finish your garment by the end of the course. Refreshments will be supplied through out the session.
