Now you have learnt how to crochet, it's time to add to those skills and give your crochet that professional finished look. When I am teaching crochet or running a crochet class I am always asked so many questions and I do my best to try and explain but there is never enough time to dedicate and show you these particular skills, so I have put the most popular ones together to bring you this new class where I can share and show you how.
Join me on this perfecting your crochet workshop and learn some great new skills so you can forget that menacing starting chain, get rid of those unsightly tail ends as you crochet, a simple and easy way to colour change and how to increase and decrease if you go wrong and lots of other handy tips and hints.
Do you get frustrated doing that starting chain and avoid making anything as you can't bare the idea of making a large blanket and all those stitches to find? Let me show you how to avoid that frustrating starting chain and teach you how to do a foundation row which not only gives you all your stitches, you also complete your first row and will never make the mistake of have the wrong amount of starting stitches again.
Those large beautiful throws you look at wistfully, they will be easily achievable for you as will anything else you choose to make. You will have a lovely straight starting line and edge to your work.
During the class we will cover the following skills and I will do my best to help and answer any question you may have with your crochet.
- Do a foundation row (no chain!)
- Crochet in your ends
- invisible yarn join/colour change
- How to increase/decrease
The session will run for three hours as we know how quickly time goes during the crochet classes! You will need to bring a crochet project you are currently working on, an item you haven't yet sewn your ends in so I can show you how to do this correctly.
Your favourite hooks, your glasses if you only wear for close up work.
Refreshments will be provided as will lots of patience.
I have made a selection of dates available but if you would like to come and do this workshop but you can't make the current ones available, please send me an email or message and I will try my best to accommodate you.
