Before printing, Iron the bag to create a smooth surface. If you prefer you can wash, dry and iron the bag prior to painting. I only ironed my bag and there are still a few creases in there so you may get a better result if you wash and iron your bag first.

Prepare the leaves by gently wiping off dirt or dust. If the leaves are too thick, you can press them between heavy books for a few hours to flatten them.

Test your paint on scrap fabric or paper to check the consistency and colour. Thin paint may not show the leaf details, while thick paint might clog the veins.

Insert either a plastic bag or sheet of card in the bag. This is to prevent the paint from soaking through to the other side of the bag.
