We have all seen the perfectly set dining room tables festooned in elaborate and rather expensive table decorations and centrepieces.

I am going to share with you three easy and simple decorations you can put together with items you would generally have at home, in the box of Christmas decorations you already have or can easily be picked up from charity shops.

They are budget friendly but everyone will think you have spent a fortune on your table decorations. They can be colour coordinated to match your Christmas colour theme.

The first one is really easy.

Get a large clear glass vase or 3 different sizes and heights, fish bowls work really well too. Fill them will baubles, string beads and any other small Christmas decorations you can fit in them. It's best to get wide opening ones to easily fit items in. Just keep adding until it's to the top and top off with a more elaborate decoration, some flowers and ribbon to complete the look. Just keep playing around with it until your happy with how it looks. You can also add battery fairy lights which adds to the effect. Candle sticks are always great to have too as these can be added to create a wonderful festive display. Whenever the opportunity arises, go and scout out your local charity shops throughout the year and keep an eye out for candle sticks and glass vases, cake stands or containers as they can be used anytime of the year for seasonal decorations and be stored away and continuously be repurposed and reused.

Another easy one to assemble and create.

A basic charger plate which you can get from Poundland or you can use any plain plate you have in the cupboard or you can cut our a cardboard circle and paint it your colour5 of choice or cover it with a matching paper.

To create the ring you can purchase a straw or foam wreath ring. Alternatively you can cut a ring our of cardboard, scrunch up paper and glue it to the ring.

Wrap your ring with either string, twine, yarn or ribbon

Glue on pine cones, any greenery or foliage you have to hand and little baubles. Place the ring onto your plate and add a selection of candles. To create the trees you can purchase the foam cones or alternatively cut a semi circle out of cardboard and roll it to form a tree shape and glue it to hold together. Wrap with your twine, string, yarn or ribbon of choice. .

I added more baubles and glued a velvet ribbon on to the glass candle and wrapped twine and a piece of foliage to the other candle, The start was a spare tree topper I had. You can really use any decorations you have to create a simple table decoration like this and again you can add a set of lights to give it that wonderful finishing touch.
